2022 Marketing Intern Application and Job Description

Title: ​Marketing Intern 

Description: ​This position is responsible for marketing and promoting for the 2022 Minnesota Pottery Festival. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Keep the website updated with latest festival information, new images, and artist information. 

  • Capture important information about participating artists

  • Resize and format photos for website

• Maintain social media presence leading up to, during, and after the festival. 

  • Announce Artists via MNPF website and Facebook page. 

  • Create  profiles for Facebook promotion in Google.

  • Capture important information about participating artists (e.g. website, location, emails, bios).

  • Create Facebook Event 

  • Draft and share exciting updates about artists 

• Draft copy for newsletters that will be sent via Constant Contact 

• Draft printed materials (e.g. MNPF program, volunteer materials, artist welcome and information packet, name tags and booth signs) 

• Conduct verbal surveys during both days of the festival and enter results in google form throughout the weekend. 

• Create an online survey for more feedback after the festival. 

• Draft survey results document. 

Qualifications: 

• Must have demonstrated strong writing skills, strong computer skills, and excellent people skills. 

• Must have proficiency with Google Docs, Facebook, or other design tools. 

• Ability to interact easily with people. 

• Ability to work independently and in a team setting. 

Compensation: ​This position is part­-time and stipend. 

Important Dates: 

• Must be available in-­person these days: 

  • Set up festival, Friday, July 29, 2022 on the grounds of Masonic West River Park

  • Festival Day 1, Saturday, July 30, 2022 (aprox 9am-7pm), on the grounds of Masonic West River Park

  • Festival Day 2, Sunday, July 31, 2022 (aprox 10am-6pm), on the grounds of Masonic West River Park

  • Pottery Festival Reception (date and location to be finalized based on artist and room rental availability) 

• Artists Announced April 2022 (much of the promotion begins following this date)
