Fun for Kids

The Minnesota Pottery Festival is great for kids of all ages.

  • Visit the Kids Tent to get your hands dirty and take home a new masterpiece.

  • There’s an onsite playground.

  • Stop by River of Hope’s booth for Root Beer Floats.

  • There’s a free hydration station for refilling waterbottles.

  • The Demos and Olympics are all kid friendly, see the full schedule here. One note, the raku firings are very, very hot. We put up cones and take safety measures, but it’s a good reminder to keep little ones back.

  • Set on the shore of the Crow River there are many shade trees, and the ground is pretty flat for strollers.

  • Some potters have items <$10 for kids to bring home a new cup, bowl, or plate.
